ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT FOR EMDR CLINICIANS

Individual EMDR Consultation

Individual consultation is a space for EMDR-trained clinicians or those working toward certification to receive personalized guidance and support.

Sessions are collaborative and shaped around your needs — whether you’re stuck on a case, looking for feedback on phase work, or wanting more confidence with complex presentations. While consultation can focus on many areas, common concerns include anxiety and panic, phobias, complex trauma, and PTSD. Other common themes include negative belief systems, self-esteem, burnout, attachment wounds, somatic concerns, and supporting highly sensitive or neurodivergent clients — including those who may feel insightful and self-aware but still stuck after prior therapy.

CONSULTATION IS ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE TOOLS WE HAVE

It creates a space for growth, insight, and the kind of support every therapist deserves.

Catherine Alvarado, LMFT, smiling while standing beside a sunburst mirror and green plant, representing warmth and support in EMDR consultation for clinicians.

Hi! I’m Catherine Alvarado, LMFT

My approach to consultation is rooted in reflection, curiosity, and attunement.

I bring both my clinical experience and my lived understanding of how layered trauma and anxiety can feel into the consultation space. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients navigating panic, phobias, complex trauma, and attachment wounds, as well as highly sensitive and neurodivergent individuals who often feel deeply insightful yet still stuck. These experiences shape the way I support clinicians — not just with technical guidance, but with compassion for the real challenges that come up in the therapy room.

Consultation with me is less about rigid formulas and more about collaborative exploration. Together, we look at where you feel confident and where you feel blocked, so you can strengthen your skills while also honoring your unique therapeutic style. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can ask questions, reflect openly, and leave with greater clarity and confidence.

Resources to improve your mental health, increase your self-awareness, and invite growth.
